I don't know who read my post about loss of rpm before, but now I have a bigger problem (possibly related?). Today I was driving along, just left a stop light and looked in my mirror in time to see a pile of blue smoke poor out my exhaust. I made it to the next place I could pull over (didn't want to drive) and by the time I got there I noticed a minor loss in power. What are the possibilities for this? My mechanic thinks headgasket. All the fluids looked fine, they were all up to the right level, antifreeze is the right color, and the oil is still nice and clean.

Blue smoke is Burning oil.
White smoke is head
New oil tends to burn blueish, the older the oil it tends to burn easier and turn black even sooty.
Take a sniff of the exhaust (don't get carried away!!) if oil is buring up the exhaust would have a different smell, well like burning oilI am back

Head gasket, piston rings, valves seal/guides can cause burning of the oil.
I was pondering this I believe that Blue smoke mean that the oil is not burned completly and may be entering the Cat from the exhaust valve seals or you are just getting to much blow-by..
Replace all your PCV's.I am back

If you have oil in your intake, it still goes back to the cylinders. PCV system. Blue smoke is bad. There is another, although rare situation. The master cylinder can leak into the brake bladder. If the brake bladder (power brake booster) is bad, you will notice a vaccum loss. Possible loss of RPM's And always replacing brake fluid. Very rare though. If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.
