  • 60* V6 blocks

I've been looking out for a 3.4 DOHC block to use in a mock-up of my '88 Fiero / '92 3.4 DOHC / G6 6-speed conversion. I'm too cheap and lazy to buy a complete engine out of a local yard and strip it down just for the block.

So here's the question: Do any of the other 60* V6 blocks have the same provisions for mounting the front/rear engine mount brackets the LQ1 uses in the W-body? I know the 2.8 from the Fiero doesn't. It uses the single mount and none of the other bosses are there.

    Do later 2.8s? 3.1 or 3.4s?

    Really would appreciate the help.

that's a bad combination guy. usually in order to accompolish anything you have to either be not cheap or not lazy.

That's the problem. I find LQ1 blocks, but they're always back east (and as I live on the California coast, that's pretty much everywhere).

I was hoping one of the other 60*V6 blocks was the same so I could widen my options.

BTW, what does a bare block weigh?
