  • RPM Signal wire

From the input harness on the ECM, which wire is the RPM signal wire? I have a manual describing all the wiring into the ECM but can;t seem to find the wire that inputs RPM....

Can anyone please help me with this? Would it be safe to use the RPM signal wire coming out of the instrument cluster?

    Pin D19 = reference signal

the other end of the wire for D19 on the ecm is connected to the large connector on the ignition control module, Pin E on the ICM.

My GM service manual has the schematic: Book 1, pg 6E3-1-16 (schematic is for 3.1 engine but dohc is the same).
