Will the intake plenum turn around 180 degrees on a '97 DOHC 3.4 out of a monte carlo? (so the throttle body is on the same side as the belts)

for a rwd application? yes but it is costly.
i think the intake tubing would be tricky as it would be very close to the belt i would think
you'd have to block off or re-route the coolant flow that originally went to the tb. not too hard.
you'd have to have a spacer made with bolt patterns in it. easy to install, probably costly to make.
you'd probably have to install a longer cable from your gas pedal to reach the tb if the car was originally fwd. if not then the cable should already be long enough.
you have to either block off the egr or lengthen the tube enough to fit the new intake location.
relocate or remove cruise control.
it is not impossible by any means. other than the custom spacer and a little work to redo the serpentine system slightly if needed for the intake tube, it can be done.Last edited by dohcfiend; 11-18-2007, 08:05 PM.The Official Rotating Mass Nazi

If you removed the PS pump and went with an electrical one it would alleviate a lot of problems, but it would also create new ones becase then you have to make a new belt route, or make a dummy pulley that is smaller and bolts up where the PS pump used to be, and you'd have to rig up an electrical PS system.I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.
