  • LQ-1 Recipient List

Does anyone happen to have a complete list of which models recieved the LQ-1? So far, I've researched the following:
    91-94 Lumina Z34/Pontiac GTP/Cuts Supreme
Some Lumina Euros with available LQ-1 option
    95-97 Lumina LS/Monte Carlo Z34

Is this the entirety of the LQ-1 model family,....?

    Any info is appreciated!

Most of them went into the Lumina Z34, 91-9?. They were optional in other models. The Grand Prix GTP got most of the rest, 91-96 though they were optional on SE's. The Cutlass Supreme got the remaining few, 91-9?

Only thing not mentioned above is the Cutty Convertables did not get the 5 speed DOHC, just the auto. Also the GP STE cars that were not turbo were DOHC. Only have seen 2 (one 5 speed online, and one on the road, not sure if it was auto or stick).

Wow, I was under the impression that we were tlaking about the 3.4L, given that it is in the DOHC section, and the title says LQ-1. But maybe I'm wrong.....

And wow, maybe he's just correcting someone's statement that all non-turbo STEs were equipped with the LQ1.

Hmmm, I've been doing some back research on shared LQ-1 platforms, but there doesn't seem to be much specific info on 94-96 GTPs. I know that 95+ Montes/Luminas recieved the 4T65 transaxle - was this the case for the Pontiacs as well?

Thanks for letting me pick your brains, guys!

Only 1997 Monte Z34s received the 4T65e (as far as I know). Not all 97's received them. You have to check the trans pan. Many still received the 4T60e.

                            Not sure about the GPs.

This is a great thread for info.

Michael told me that the 97s also shift at 6750, which makes sense with a 4T65-E.

Anyway, 94-96 GTPs had the DOHC, as did some SEs and hmm, maybe GT (4 door with a DOHC I think).
