i recently had to replace my alt and purchased one from a discount parts store......DEFECTIVE. so i decided to try this local company out. he gave me a 170amp alt for $170 or so bux. about $1 per amp. almost the same price as the auto store and rebuilt right here instead of malaysia or somewhere employing 10-year-olds for $1/hr to do it.
he also can do factory rebuilds for cheaper($145ish i think). i was very happy with it and decided to share my experience. if any1 is interested i will post up his info shortly as long as he consents to it.
note: you will need a core unless you just want me to supply one as i have about 2 extra laying around.
