cam differences

ok i have a 93 motor without the cam sensor. would a cam from a 94-95 motor work in there, and how about a 96-97. and what is the difference between the 96+ cams and the 94-95 cams

the 94-95 cams are identical cept for the front intake cam...but the specs are all the same. Im uncertain if 96/97 cams will fit but I believe they will. I have heard they use smaller lifters but haven't confirmed this yet. The specs are identical cept for the timing as far as I know. I haven't had a set of 96 cams speced out yet to verify this either.

Cuz I am putting 95 cams and heads on my motor soon, aso soon as the ports and regrinds are done.

No that is your piston.

The camS, in our motors, sits on top of the head in the cam carrier, and they spin round and round, and the Lobes, like oblonged circles on the cam, push the valves up and down according to where the lobes are.



That is a camshaft for a V8
