  • Oil Cooler

Guys does a 94' GTP have an engine oil cooler? I think it should, I don't think mine does. Maybe a previous owner removed it for some reason. Perhaps the engine went and they didn't want to buy a new one and just threw the old one in the bushes? If so, what can I do?

my service manual says some did and some didnt but didnt say what it was or was not available with.

when i installed my aftermarket cooler i was able to go to the dealer and buy the water pump outlet with no oil cooler outlet line

All you need to do to add a cooler is to add three parts:
1] You have to replace the little water neck on the side of the water pump with one from a '91-93. It has an extra hose barb on it.
2] Replace the aluminum spacer between the oil filter and the block with the '91-93 oil cooler.
3] Replace the plug in the side of the block, next to the oil filter, with a hose barb.

Connect the new outlet on the water neck to one side of the oil cooler. Connect the other side of the oil cooler to the hose barb that you just installed in the side of the block,
