  • No more stiff LS6 springs

I can't get any more of the yellow springs for a decent price so lingenfelter is currently the cheapest place I know to get them. I was told that the LS6 changed to a new spring in 03, and those springs are pretty much identical to the LS1 springs, which I have measured at 180# at 1.3 many times (tested over 48 of them).

So, you will have to either get them somewhere else now or you can go with the comp springs that are on the 60V6 store.

The LS6 springs were supposed to be superceded by the LS2 springs. Last year, if you ordered the LS6 part number, you could get either the LS6 or LS2 spring. What part number have you been trying to order?

I wasn't ordering them by part number, just application. So you are saying its the LS2 only springs now that are the stiffer springs?

Ordering by application can be vague, as there have been three different versions of LS6 springs. Here are the part numbers I posted a while back:

        '01 LS6 Spring: 12565117 (Blue stripe)
'02 LS6 spring: 12565313 (Green stripe; Stiffer than '01 LS6 spring; If you order this spring, you might get the LS2 spring that is replacing it).
LS2 Spring: 12586484 (Replaces LS6 spring, supposedly same specs, orange stripe)

I would order the LS2 springs.
