3100 sfi HP Chip

I am lloking for a performance chip for my 3100sfi corsica. I notice there is one in the store, but it says 3.1. Now, so you know, I am learning about these cars so please have patients with me. Will that chip work for my car? Its just a 96 Corsica with the 3100 SFI Trangenic CAI and a magnaflow 2.5 inch full exhaust system. thnkas!!

No, it won't. You SHOULD have OBD-2, so your best bet would be to contact DHP about options for flashing your current PCM.

Don't they sell tuning equipment too? Or will you being doing that as well?

They sell the tunr (spelled wrong on purpose) and their performance program. Id recommend the tunr over the program any day. Their 1.5 (version, not obd) code has a ton of spark advance that I just don't like. I believe they have done a ton of work for the 3800 and the 60V6 codes aren't as refined. I hope to help with this situation.

Germ told brad that the 1.5 code is not performance code and has no spark increase. Also the tunr comes with no performance .bin file though that really isn't a big deal if you have a tuner anyway.

Phil's car showed a lot more spark at idle which is why I said it had more spark. I will have to look at the code I guess but since brad forwarded the message I figured it say something. Dunno why germ nor brad posted...
