well the quantity of oil removal for ME isn't the issue. teflon is alot better as a safety measure. like if it is mocked up too close. most likely it will just get bounced off the crank or at worst ripped off and spat into the oilpan.
where as the steel one, the results might be alot worse if it is not 100%. like it will scratch something if it is too close or if the crank bites it, it may wrap around something and fubar the entire motor.
but right now i will have to see. i'd have to buy the steel one, buy the teflon one and pay a machinist to form fit it? for that kind of dough i could just add it to the price of the pistons i bought and get custom forged ones.
