speaking in terms of best 1/4 time..what would you, or any1 for that matter, recommend? and i'm reading a revised fueling and spark option in the discription of the product. what exactly is that?

That isn't an option, its what sets my chip apart from the stock chip and the other aftermarket chips.
Are you talking about cam timing for the track? I haven't tried the various cam timings at the track or a dyno, so im just relaying how the car feels with 6/6 and 13 exhaust retard. Its a definite change so its pretty easy to give the results on powerband. If you have an auto, id seriously stick with 6/6 unless you are a track only car, because even if its slightly slower overal, the drivability and around town feel is so much nicer.Ben

i couldn't tell you on shift points, as every car seems to run different because of cam timing changes (stretched belt, etc). Limiters aren't going to make you faster, so I would just set it to anything above the shift points and forget about them (leave p/n rev limiter stock, you don't go faster in those gears).Ben

i wasnt sure if i should just add to this old thread or start a new topic so i guess i will just post here and see what happens first..........
My questions:
1 (I've been wondering about this for a long time) - I've read in a few places that "fuel is cut off and the valves float above 5200 rpm to prevent engine damage" on the DOHC motors. Does the chip change such a value? Is it possible to change this value? I would think it would be benefiical to have fuel the whole way to redline. Would there be problems with doing so?
2 - Do the 5 speeds have a speed limiter or rev limiter?
3 - On a nearly stock engine, how do these chips compare to custom tuning? Is custom tuning done through chips only? Basically, i understand that my car can run a lot better simply through tuning but i am unsure of exactly how/what to go about.
4 - Does cam timing only shift the power band or does it change/widen it? I have a '93 5 speed Z34 and i'm dong a lot of autocross so torque is good but i do get it wound pretty high at certain points so i dont want it falling on its face at high rpms either.

1. Forget that crap you read on the chip, its all BS. I modifed the chip to give you much better top end as well as more power everywhere else.
2. Yes, 120 speed limiter and 7000 RPM limit. That can be raised to 255 and 7150.
3. On a stock motor, there isn't much difference between custom tuning and the chip I sell. Custom tuning is really better off on a modified motor, and im no talking intake filter and muffler changes.
4. If you change both cams the same on both banks, then you only shift the powerband. If you change the cams to different timings then youc an narrow or widen the powerband. Now that I have my knock issues taken care of, my 6/6 timing actually revs up to 7000 just fine again. I have a lot more low end than stock as well.Ben
