  • 94-95 3.4 DOHC Performance Chips

These will be ready in the next 2 weeks if all goes well. After tuning with and without the screen in place, I would recommend keeping the screen in there. I do have it tuned though for either way. The 6/7 cam timing will be what I tune next, since 94-95 are all automatics minus those that swapped. Pricing will be $127 shipped when they are available.

We are dyno testing them now. Initial dyno shows my chip at a loss over stock on a bone stock motor. Got gains with no screen, so we are going to work on that and the stock setup some more. Also, shift points will be messed with soon as well.

I have them listed on the store now as set for the saturday after next. I could probably sell them now but I want to have someone else test it out, and if possible, get a dyno done. Next time I see chris ill bother him:P

The maf screen removed is probably going to be the chip of choice, and doing 6/6 timing with the 75mm (i think) MAF is also pretty much tuned. Shift points will be customizable, and I will have a list of how its setup stock and if the owner wants to keep trying different shift points, im only going to ask that they pay for shipping after 3 times. Thats about it.

So when are the performance chips going to be listed again? Just wondering. Don't need one right away anyway.
                Thanks!

I wanted more time to do testing and will have my test car up and running this week unless something fails when I put it together. Dyno time will be scheduled as soon as I have some free time to do the tuning. Problem has been trying to do a chip for stock, stock with no maf screen, stock with 6/6 timing with screen, then without, etc. Too many variables, not enough time/test vehicles to do it.

                      any update on these chips?
It'll be interesting to see what combination you find to be the best.
can't wait to get one in my car

Also...a friend and I have had a discussion about shift points...any idea what different changes to points will do? for example will increasing or decreasing the rpm at 1st to 2nd shift improve acceleration? or does that vary by vehicle/driver? I've never played with a cars computer before so this is all new to me, though very interesting...

                      thanx

I just got the motor put back together today so tomorrow with the new serpentine belt, fluids, and battery I will get it started. Supposed to snow this week so hopefully next week ill get some time to test it out in stock form and see what tuning it needs. New O2, wires, and plugs. Car ran good before so the injectors should be just fine still.

Im not sure on shift points yet. Ill need dyno info to get an idea of where to shift but its the downshift TPS% im most interested in. That alone can make the car feel like a whole different car. I dont have 4th gear either so I won't be able to do any 3-4 and 4-3 testing until that gets fixed.

Off topic, im so close to being done researching for my level 2 pushrod heads. Thats been my main goal this past month though I have had to do a few other jobs in between. Thankfully the patience of my customers has left me relaxed through this time consuming project and im not really burned out at all Might even have what I need for the DOHC heads here soon since rednblack said he would try to come up with something for me. Enough off topic though, just wanted to tell you whats been going on and why there has been a delay on these chips. Ah hell, other note. I can rent the dyno for a day for 540 plus 35 per vehicle hook up. Id like to get a couple people to go in on it so I can spend some time on the dyno with the 95 cutlass and not pay 185 for 1 hour.

Now that I have the heads to work with, I'll get you the, what do call it? Opening device?. VOD (Valve Opening Device) That's it! VOD!!

I figure about 2 weeks. I'll deliver. PM me as to any preference to which heads you want. I don't have 2 94s. 1 is earlier.

                          They are coming apart Sunday.

                          roadtrip..

Oh, and back on topic. Chip is very tunable. No "Generic" chip that is compatible with all the 94-95s yet, too many variables. A lot depends on your mods. But, in my opinion, this shows more potential for tuning than is realised yet.

Sounds great! I can't wait for this chip...
Sounds like you have a lot of work cut out for you...those heads sound promising too...hmmm first summer 2007 mod?
As for the shift points...I was just curious if maybe that was a constant...like increasing the RPM increases or decreases acceleration everytime.

I was hoping for 2006. Things didn't work out. Money, jobs, weather, etc.

It's gonna be here. At 60degreev6.com.

Yes, shifting % can be changed.
