What is the proper distance to set the CPS sensor from the crank pulley? I currently have it set at .020.

How inline with the trigger wheel does the magnetic part of the CPS need to be in order for this setup to work properly?

The car runs but I'm getting a random hesitation issue from time to time with no CEL so I'm looking everywhere for it.

.020-.040 is fine. I'd shim it so that the metal nub is as close to in-line as possible with the wheel. Mine was a little off and it still worked fine.

I found with one car that I had the sensor too close to the reluctor and it caused problems. Spacing the sensor out fixed the problem.

So far it was too far out first and wouldn't run...

It's almost directly inline. it's a touch too far out but the car runs. I'm going to probably set it to .035 and see how that goes and leave it if no change occurs.

What problems were you having caffeine?

Ignition would break up around 2-3k rpm. Spacing the sensor farther from the reluctor fixed the problem.
