Swain Tech did the coatings, and they help block the thermal transfer from the combustion charge to the cylinder head. Keeping the exhaust hotter will help it travel faster out the exhaust.

That is interesting and can you please explain the benefit of this or a link I can read up on the subject ? I read something lately about detonation elimination by coating the combustion chamber And keeping the thermal benefits. But they also talked about coating the ports also. With a dry film coating

Didnt know they were in NY. Only a few hrs from me! ( assuming this is the same place... but then again ya know what happens when ya assume lol ) Looks pretty good and is something I might consider when I order some cyl heads!

Ben, will this be a future option for cyl heads, or something we would have to send out?

                  I like that a lot.
Coupled with the same coating on my piston domes, this should help keep more heat in the combustion chamber and then flowing out the exhaust.
The theory is that less heat will be absorbed into the cylinder head, where it must be dissepated by the cooling system. So the motor may run a bit cooler, and it should help with durability of other parts.
And should also help to produce a smidge more power.

i had read up on this a long while ago in a import mag. seems they think its well worth it.
now all thats left is getting WOT-TECH CnC'd on the ends of the heads....good stuff!

Ben? How's that for an idea to represent?

$230 to coat the combustion chambers and valve faces, plus another $72 to coat the exhaust ports (6 @ $12 each), so $302 (plus shipping) total.

now if only someone had access to a small CNC, that had down time, they would probably do it for cheap, i dont think you would ever see the print due to brackets and such. would look really sexy when you pull them out of a box though. "woooo, WOT_TECH heads "
