3.1 performance chip for Beretta

I need help with this I put the chip in my car today and now it wont start without my foot on the gas and it takes about 15 seconds of that to stay at idle and then idles really bad. The check engine light is also on.

I am pretty sure the chip is all the way in both sides clicked in and I did not unplug any of the cords to the computer

did you put the stock chip onto the adapter?
