  • Attention! Cometic MLS Head Gaskets on 3500 heads

If you have a 3400 block and plan on using the Cometic MLS head gaskets, you will need a 3.720" bore on the gasket in order to clear the combustion chamber.

Call me stupid, but is says thickness of .060 stock is default, BUT the price to get .060 thickness is +29.99... Why is that?

Also You should just note that if you have 3500 heads, you need to buy the 3500 head gaskets, Because stupid me I still went to 3400 and tried to see if I could order those with the 3.720 bore, and that oversize option is not available... I need to purchase the standard bore 3500 gaskets, where as with the GM gaskets it is opposite you buy the gasket for the block your using.

    I know I'm being a pain... lol

        The price varies by thickness.

Well yeah, but I was just wondering why you said they are standard at .060 thickness, but to get that the price advertised is 29.99 dollars low...

Just a marketing thing, I would just think to list them at the price of the standard thickness and then allow those to get them thinner where it then would subtract money from the price.

          No biggie...

I'll still be buying these shortly though.

Issac, IIRC he used GM gaskets, but I could be wrong, they may be Fel Pro ones.

Jon, I'm pretty sure of that too, just wondering if he used a 3500 gasket or 3400 gasket...
