These are new springs that have the TCE LS lifter internal springs installed. The checkball spring is twice as stiff as stock to help the ball seat faster for less pump up at higher RPM, and a 60% stronger piston spring to help maintain seat to pushrod contact for better valvetrain stability. Recommended for performance oriented camshafts.
