  • Remote Filter Adaptors

Hey Ben you should see if you can bring in some remote filter adaptors from Canton Racing. They are the only 90*filter adaptors that fit the 660 and they rotate 360* aswell. They are made from billet and are extremly high quality. I already have one on my S-10.

#22-596 18mm thread, 2-5/8" standard seal. This is the filter adaptor for the 660

#22-620 Accepts Chevy Type Spin-on Filters (13/16”-16). This is the remote filter mount for Chevy filters.

Our products solve your engines' oil and cooling problems. Improve your engines oil pressure, oil temperature, and coolant system with Canton Racing Products.

They also sell adjustable oil pressure regulators, tanks and sums of all sorts.

Well then you can have them in your store. They Sell them at SDPC but not at Summit or Jegs. I'm sure you would get wholesale price from Canton and be able to resell them competativly. The Canton price you see on the website is an MSRP price. You can buy them at SDPC cheeper. So if Canton will give you a wholesale price then your going to make some profit and be competaive. At least then 660 owners would have an easy source to buy from. You may even consider selling it in kit form with both items a length of hose and some fittings.

Personally I would stay away from remote oil filters. Working at a Gm dealer I personally hate oil coolers and cooler lines. Due to the fact that they always leak. More so the lines than anything.
It's what under the hood that counts...

I can agree with that. But if you see the lines I got for mine you'll be impressed. They are true stainless lines with stainless fittings sweged on. This type of hose exceeds anything you can get from Russel or Earls and especially anything that comes in the form of a hose and hose clamps. But regardless people have had success with the cheeper stuff. If you want good hoses go to a hydraulic shop.

This product is the only one that will fit the 660 block, and they fit all the blocks and are very high quality so I think it is a good product to have avalible.

I'm still having the lifter clatter in the morning. I've read everything I can on filters. I changed my oil a few days ago and the filter was dry, Fram. I replaced it with a Napa filter. I ran the engine for a few minutes and haven't restarted it yet,
I haven't tried Purolator or Amsoil. The Amsoil number is ASF29. Can someone tell me the number for the Purolator and the AC Delco. My application is an '86 S10 Blazer 4WD, 3.1 build up..

Does anyone have first hand knowledge that "X" filter will not drain back? Also what's the deal with the by-pass in the filter? I have a by-pass in the filter mount and one in the block.. Thanks.
