  • 2.8 multiport gen2 with 3400 top end

I have some questions about turning my 2.8 into a 2.8/3400 hybrid. I found the domesticcrew guide but i need some things cleared up. Do i need custom length pushrods (probably yes) and how would i measure these? I also wanted to have it tuned. Is there anyone around who can do this? Im worried about my stock trans (3t40). It has under 100k on it and i was wondering if a shift kit and new clutch would help keep it alive.

yes you would need custom rods and i believe ben on here knows the length needed for them if not you can get rod measuring tool off jegs or summit. and ben may have tune that can be used also i think a base 3400 tune will work on this swap also as you will also want to use 3400 injectors
