  • 3500 uim on 3400 lim

    So i need detailed instructions or a link to a thread that tells what exactly what you need to do/buy to put a 3500 Upper intake manifold on an 01' 3400 lower intake manifold...

      Ive searched and searched but i haven't found a definitive complete install, only bits and pieces where some have done one thing and other have done other things..

      Thats why i said does anyone have a link to a thread that tells what exactly what you need to do/buy

        Mt hayes has done a complete write up I know for sure. Search grasshopper you can do it.

          the easy way it just to bolt it on and see what needs to be done yourself.. lol

          the FPR needs to be rotated, that's it for physical fitment. What TB you are going to use is up to you. If you aren't going to use the EGR or the other stuff just plug the holes.

              Remember, you will need some sort of TB adapter as well.

              3rd Gen Cavy has 3500 Installed!

              Trans: 2002 Getrag F23 5speed
              Pcm: 2001 Impala La1 3400 with complete Engine Harness.
              Injectors: #36 GTPs
              TB: 65mm TCE
              Maf: 1999 3400 Montana.
              Adjustable TCE Fuel pressure Regulator
              Walbro W1 255 pump from Racetronix.
              Beverages: Ice Cold CANADIAN.

                    yeah i deff want to got the lx5 route, but it is harder than i thought to find a lx5 tb and even more difficult to find the adapter,

                    Isacchayes you would happen to have a tracing with specs on the adapter you could possible mail me do you? i know alot to ask of you, but my dad is a machinest and im a welder with alot of knowledge of metal fabricating, so i could make one myself if i had a template/specs...

                              If they were in stock then Kurt, Woody, an several others would be all over it. Read a bit closer and you'll see that adapter just puts a 3400 TB on a 3500...

                              They want LX5 TB on a LX9 UIM.....
