    "Split spray" injectors?

I read that supposedly the 3.4 DOHC injectors have a split spray pattern, where half the injector stream is angled to hit one intake valve, and half the other. Anybody heard of this?

supposedly this prevents you from using "normal" injectors on it... I know that's not the case, but I am curious if the "split spray" exists.
Okay now, that's enough of that.

yep not sure the angle when they spray, but the ports on the tip are kinda like this ( : : ) and a normal injector like the l67 are like this ( :: )

hope that helps answer your question

Ok, I was curious, and did some research. I cut open an old injector. Forced water through it, took a picture of the spray pattern...
The result was, Yes, they are split pattern, the pattern is 19 degrees from jet to jet.

      Interesting observations.

Now I'm just curious what result that would have on horsepower..... specifically using a "normal" cone injector where there once was a split spray.
Okay now, that's enough of that.
