pushrod guides?
If I'm replacing intake manifold gaskets, do I need to get ones with or without pushrod guides?
Would be good to have them on hand before starting. 1996 3100 V6.

Show Me Your KITS!
they are part of the lower intake gasket, get the pry bar tool for the rockers so you dont have to unbolt them

Every parts store I've looked at lists two sets of gaskets. One with pushrod guides, one without pushrod guides - I don't know which I need for my motor.

If you have roller rockers, you need the gaskets with pushrod guides. If you don't have roller rockers, you don't need pushrod guides. Not sure if you can see enough through the oil fill hole to tell whether or not they're roller rockers- but as far as I know, all 3100 engines had roller rockers by 1996.
But the question of whether or not you need pushrod guides ONLY applies if you're going back with the old style plastic gaskets. If you go with the new improved Felpro metal & rubber gaskets (MS98004T for your application), this set will work for engines with or without pushrod guides. AND these gaskets last much better than the old style plastic ones. Just ask for the FelPro "problem saver" gaskets.

Thanks for the part # - That's the one I will go with. I do have roller rockers.
