power steering whine, after timing belt job

So, I completed.my timing belt job. Wasn't able to do it 100%by the book, but she's running with a little less torque at the low rpms, and it seems that there is less response when I hit the gas. Another thing is that my power steering pump now has a whine to it. I filled up to cold line, started engine test drove and warmed-up engine, I then filled up the power steering pump again and stared engine and turned the wheel left and right multiple times to get pump and lines full. I still have a more noticeable whine than before the timing belt job. Any ideas? Is this normal? Also do you think my timing job will ok with the less torque and response than before timing job, or should I.be concerned and redo timing? Thanks

If you've lost power...I'd be concerned that the cams are out-of-time.

you introduced alot of air into the system. jack the front wheels off the ground, removed cap, turn the wheel 20 times in each direction checking the fluid level after 10 turns, keep doing it until u see no improvement. start it up, and check the fluid level. as for the timing you need to reset timing.

    Thumbs up

Cool, thanks for the advice. will do. now just need the time to redo the timing. Any suggestions on getting the cam gears loose? My wouldn't budge, almost stripped one.
