    3.1-3.4 supercharger

I have looked on google and on this website, and i don't know if i am just missing it or what..

I bought a 93 Cutlass supreme with 134k miles. It has always been my dream to own a turbo, or supercharged vehicle. This Cutlass is such a nice car that i might do it as long as i am not spending a brand new car, on it. So..what are my options with it? I have read enough to see that i can fit a 3.4 into it possibly, and that seems to be the best route. Any input?

Also, what all i would i have to swap over for this build?

The 3.4 (I assume you mean the DOHC) is a dying crowd and engine. If you want my honest opinion, if you aren't hell bent on the DOHC, go with a 3400 or 3500 (preferably the 3500 due to better design, higher flowing heads, more stock power and all around better engine) and turbo that.

If it were me, I would buy a 3500, 3400 exhaust manifolds and crossover, a TB conversion kit (you would also need a TB for it, and I'm not sure what's recommended, but probably a 3400 TB would work) and crank sensor kit from WOT for the 3500.

The 3500 uses a different trigger setup internally than the older 60v6s, hence the crank sensor kit. The exhaust is different and the 3400 would bolt right up and hook right in, except you would have to probably change downpipes. The TB kit is needed because the 3500 in its stock form is drive by wire and electronically controlled. The kit will put a normal cable driven TB on it.

jmgtp recently did this swap on his 91 GTP, but right now he's having emissions problems because he lives in an emissions mandated area.

    Here is his thread:

There is also a 3500 swap sticky here:

There are tons of posts in those two threads, but they pretty much should cover ANY problem you might run into, lol.

Wellll, we don't really talk about those engines here.... They're a 90* v6 and not 60* v6, what this site is all about....
Here's a link, the Sticky right at the top of this page, that comes from the Owner of this site...

If you tread lightly and post in the off-topic area you may get a few answers...
    Hope this helps,,,

It would work if you wanted a heavy pig of an engine and wanted to be like everyone and their brother...

You can swap your TB linkage to the 3400 throttle body so you can keep the linkage the same. You just have to remove the 3100 throttle plate and use a dremel to enlarge it enough to fit the 3400 throttle plate.
