W-Body door window, what am I missing?

OK, I've replaced the front window channel, I've inspected and tightened the window motor and regulator to the door, I've inspected the back window channel and it's good, I've inspected the window... the little nylon bumps that are one piece with the window look a little worn, but nothing unusual, 1 of the three on the back are broken off clean. I bought a window channel guide from dorman, drilled a hole in the nylon of the window, test fitted the guide in the channel, fitted it to the window. It worked great half down and then back up. Ran it down all the way, it went BANG, and destroyed the dorman window guide. IDK what I'm missing, I've looked at illustrations, they are all rather poor and not very detailed. I've attempted to tear down the passenger window, but I couldn't get it to release from the back channel and I'm afraid to break it to see what is different. This has to be a common problem, it's a little one, but annoying the piss out of me. Common because my Z34 had the same problem! any ideas!?
How to make High performance Emissions:
A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

I've no clue, but my 91 developed a problem some time ago where it would make a gear stripping sound at 1/3 and 2/3 going up years ago. I don't remember if it did it going down. I guess I lucked out with the 92 so far :knockonwood:

Do you have a Helms manual to go by?
