looking to buy dohc
i really want a new engine with kind of low miles...idk if it will fit in my car. i have a Malibu1999...with a 3100 sfi

Because stock sucks...
The problem with a DOHC in a Malibu is 1) I'm not sure if it would fit, 2) Finding one with low miles will be very hard and 3) You could drop a 3500 in place of it and have it fit easier since it doesn't have huge cam towers like a DOHC does.
You really do need a bit of room for a DOHC in an engine bay. When you look at mine in the bay you can barely see the ground, and you have to move around to try to find the spots that you can see all the way down.
The 3400 or 3500 would get my vote for your 'bu if you want my honest opinion. There will be a couple things to address, like the returnless fuel rail, CPS configuration, exhaust manifolds and such. Hope this helps

well u can look on car-part.com for one. i would sell u mine but im in minnesota and u show to be far away. they are only like 250-300 dollars around here.
