    your not under enough pressure!

Hey Ben, when you buying an extrude hone machine? JK
How to make High performance Emissions:
A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

    Lol, no kidding!

Schmieder and I were chatting through PM a while back about extrude honing. Back in the day when I got into the 60v6 scene most places wanted around $300 to do my manifolds, now that it's more popular they want more like $700!

extrude honing meaning pushing an abrasive through ports to open them up, no?

decent idea, should be cheaper than all out headers as well.
    1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E, OBD1 Conversion...for now, future plans include a 3900, T04E-46 (Knock-Off) turbo (For the 3100, ~T61 for the 3900), and a F40.

Yes, but the downside to it is it's not controlled as far as what gets removed from where. High pressure areas in the ports will get hogged out more than low pressure areas. Although it is a good alternative to cutting open an intake to get to areas you can't otherwise get to and then weld it back together.

wouldn't that mean that a high pressure area that gets more honing, making it bigger and lower those locations pressure and possibly stabilize it across the manifold? i don't how much is being removed, but I agree that I think $700 to do one of our upper intakes is BS.

Well, it was an upper and lower, not just the upper. You don't always want high pressure areas getting hogged out- it will kill velocity and hurt cylinder filling.

Here is one on ebay for a cool $10k

I read a while back some people were going to make their own and use a cement pump to move the abrasive.

Skip the extrude hone and go straight for the CNC porting
