    LA1 3400 original bin file

hi. I am having trouble with getting tiny tuners to change the vin number on a 05 Impala OSID#12594527. Im assuming that it is a vin-less copy. Is there anyone that could help point me to a file that isnt vinless to i can change the vin in Tiny Tuners?

    - Thanks, Ryan

    I'm having a similar issue.

    http://60degreev6.com/forum/showthre...S-12589762-bin

The only similar bin that has a valid VIN in this site's repository is the '03 GAGT (os 12583339), but that is quite a bit different from my stock cal. I get an "Invalid VIN/ os pair" error when I change it to my VIN & VCM ID which disables flashing.

Now I am trying 'Plan B' which is trying to manipulate the hex code to try to replace a more similar bin with my VIN & VCM ID. Let's see how that goes...

Shoot, my plan B didn't work exactly. I was able to change the VIN and OS ID through a hex editor (lines 6000, 6010, and 6020 of the bin). HPT recognizes my new VIN & OS ID but I still get the error "Invalid VIN/OS Pair". This is probably because I don't have a sample 12589762.

However, there IS a 2005 Impala LA1 OSID#12594527 in this site's repository. Send me your VIN and OS ID and I'll change it for you and let's see if HPT likes it for you.

Are you using a beta version of HPT? That might fix your VIN/OS pair problem.

Yea, Ben, that's a good point. I am using the beta version of HPT. That could have been contributing to my error.

I did end-up getting it to work though, by changing the VIN & OS ID in a hex editor from an Alero bin which was 12589763 (compared to my 12589762) but I had a lot of trans shift modifications to do in TT to match my cal. It was nice to be able to compare the 2 (my stock cal to the bin) in HPT. But now at least I have a bunch more tables to tune with!

I'll have to try that Grand Am bin again with the last production version of HPT to see if that makes any difference with the error.
