5 speed swap problem
MY car is no longer charging the battery I look in the scanner and it says generator pwm 0% why is my car not want to charge its self??? New battery and new alternator.
96 Z34 3.4 SC DOHC Getrag, 284 5sd manual transmission, stage 3spec clutch, 97 engine, 97 pcm, S3 intercooler 1 of 1 Roots SC LQ1 in the world 8.5 psi.

did you test the alternator at the back of the alt? missed a connection, defective out of the box alternator, what brand is it?. I would start by tracing the power back from the battery, to the power post to the alternator itself. see if you get power when the car is runing at any of thoes points. I have seen them defective out of the box before.

Found the pwm control wire that goes to the alt has broken some place in the harness the plug is fine and the pcm out put is good. I ran a wire temporary to the alt and its putting out 13.8v now so i have to fix the harness now... Returned the battery tonight thankfully.
