Thread: DHP tuner wont connect?

  1. #1

    Question DHP tuner wont connect?

I got the dhp software to successfully install on my vista laptop using an older version of .net framework, but when i plug it into my obd2 swapped beretta and try to get it to connect it wont. The green light blinks on the keyspan and the little red light blinks on the dhp box.

Anyone know and reasons to why it wont connect?

DHP's can be difficult to setup, depending on the computer and what versions of software you are running.

The first step is initalizing the software, which means you will have to have the OBD2 cabled plugged into the car and the key on. Also check to make sure that the COM port you are connected to on your system and in the DHP software match.

If that doesn't work, let me know and I will see if I have any other ideas for you.

You need the DHP software as said to match the com port you using so you need to know what port the keyspan is creating, number wise. Make that change in DHP and also set the Baud rate to match the DHP unit you have. This is very easy if all directions are followed.

Any unit that has a serial number starting in 841 will be baud rate of 115k, anything other than the 841 units are 56k baud. So set that up to see if it will activate your software then read up on the guides for tuning/scanning and such... DO NOT RUSH INTO THIS. You can mess up things badly.

Not all of the guides directly relate to you because some of them were baised upon a SC'd car, so you can simply ignore the info about going into boost during tuning or editing any boost tables.

Uploader is not working on this site or something... I'll send them to you on Bnet since I know it works there.
