3500 swap questions

Yea but the engine hasnt been well maintained at all and i just know the kind of guy the person is that i possibly will be buying it im buying it from and i would rather start with something fresh than keep that tired engine in there and i know it wont be a huge gain doing the swap but it would be a fun project that i think would be as fast as a l36 3800 would be if not a little bit quicker.

wow this is a long thread! I would just like to say I swapped in a 3500 LX9 to my 2000 grand am gt about two years ago and have put 37,000 miles on it! Its running great besides the constant tuning I have with the supercharger installed but thats another story.
