I say ditch that 2.8, and get a newer engine, you'll be happier, and then you can just use the kit from killerbv6

I yanked a 2.8L out of an 82 Citation to put in my MGB. Today I hung the engin in it, from the hoist, to test place it and try and figure out how to work up the engine mounts. I realized at this point that there was no place to bolt a mount on the drivers side of the engine!
Ouch. That sucks...
I was thinkning of taking off the fule pump and using the thre bolt holes there to bolt a mount to.
Anyone have any comments or suggestions?
Are there any kits to do what I am trying to do? I was actually searching the net for a kit and that is how I found this site.
Any help would be most appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Danile

The engine runs, and it was free. I can't afford another engine so I have what I have.
I'm not going for hotrod performance. I'm just doing the swap so I won't have to deal with british engine parts.
Not that the few xtra horses won't mke me happy ... but I'm not gonna race ti or anything like that. Hell, I'm not even gonna paint it. I just wanna drive it and I want to use what I have.
Unless you are offering to donate a more sutible engine :-)
I GOT IT!!!, I know what u could do.. u could make a front motor plate out of 1/4" thick aluminum, or steel, then just bolt it to the timing chane cover, they would look like this.. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku these are for a 350 tho

Thanks Ortie. That is not a bad idea, however, I found out that block has the same tabs that the RWD motor has so that problem is solved. Now my problem is that the starter is on the drivers side, rather than the passangers side.
It turns out that the guy I bought the custom headers and exhaust from had a 2.8 with the starter on the passanger side so I have issue with the exhaust on the drivers side. Even with the mechanical fule pum removed and an oil filter relo kit, because the steering is on that side I have no room
May have to go through the ender well on that side. Or conver it to a left hand driver :-)
The block might have the bosses to drill and tap holes for a passenger-side starter.
I did the opposite - my starter needed relocated to the drivers side (isuzu trooper, 2.8 to 3.4L conversion). I will have an extra 2.8L too - RWD mounts, but rigged for drivers side starter.

Well the problemm would be solved if they made a belhousing that fits a mini-starter into it for a 60-v6 ( like the One on the left )http://www.stockcarproducts.com/clutch6.htm
Come to think of it you might be able to fit a mini-starter onto the passenger side of the block. Just drill and tap in the rite spot..
