oil leak, motor mounts

hey guys, been a while since i've been around. site looks great, keep up the good work. i just recently picked up a 92 lumina 3.1. so far its been ok, had to replace the radiator, no big deal. but this last week i noticed a pretty major oil leak coming from the front of the engine. i crawled underneath and looked at it, and noticed that the oil filter is sitting on what i believe is the power steering line that runs along the front of the engine cradle. i thought that maybe this had worn a hole through the filter, and that was where the oil was going. i put the car on jack stands, and then jacked up the engine so i could get the filter out. there are two pretty good sized dents in it, but no holes that i could see. also the lines look ok, although i couldnt see under them, so maybe there is a hole there, i also have a minor ps leak. any ideas? also, when i changed the spark plugs, and pulled out the dog bones, the engine rocked back against the firewall. i've had a few of these cars in the past, and never had that happen, bad motor mounts maybe? is it possible to change that mounts without pulling the engine out?any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

also the motor mounts are my reason for the filter being in the predicament that it is. the guy i got the car from said he got the engine from a junkyard and put it in himself.

Oil leak

Goat,

Acquire a can of engine cleaner and clean the engine completely. This will help you find the leak quickly w/o getting real grimey in the process. The engine will rock if the tranny is in park and the car rolls forward or backward. Forward it'll rock back and vice-versa. Makes it easy to replace the bones by having helper push car a tad to align...
