Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Joseph... good point about the coolant flow through the heads.

A second line to the schraeder valve will help a lot. Good idea.

I could be wrong but I think you will see a nice increase on the low end when you advance it.

Chris... I am sure the hole could be left out if needed but would like to add that I was thinking about offering them with tapped holes so users could use braided hoses or a catch can setup or whatever.

You read my mind about the black powder coating. We were discussing a flat black or crinkle finish with the face recut afterwards.

We make a billet thermostat housing already but I don't know if it is what you are looking for. They are out of stock right but we will be making more in the near future.

It would be very easy in a W-body.

You F ing Rock, that is just the excuse I needed to try and drop my LZ3500 into my Cavi beater!!!!!

or you can change the outlet thing like i did. got this off a 97 or 98 pontiac minivan and just ran some hose out towards the overflow tank and chased it along the front of the car under the core support for now.
cleans up in front of the valve cover and makes it easier to take the valve cover off to check things.

oh and those valve covers look sweet especially the one with the painted black lines.

Yeah I thought of that, but then nothing would support that pipe where it goes back behind the motor to the heater core since the bracket that bolts that pipe to the TB was cut off so I could use the 3500 plenum. Right now the only thing supporting it is where it bolts to the front head and the water pump housing there.

The front smooth cover looks nice. No need for a rear cover for the FWD engines. I didn't bother painting my rear once since you can't see it anyway.

thats what i was thinking with the valve covers. dont really need the rear one and that wouldnt stop me from buying them.
it would be nice to have the set but the rear one is pretty much hidden from everything. i didnt paint mine yet and you cant really see it.

id be satisfied to have the front one. the one with the black lines would look very nice on my car.

isaac on the minivan its all hose from the block to the firewall, and iirc they chased it along the pass side right below where are motor mount is. i ran mine away from the exhaust manifolds and temporarily hung the pipe with a zip tie off the brake fluid res. this will get redone this winter it was only temporary so i wouldn’t have to lose coolant and easier access to the valve cover.

ill find a pic of how it is now if not ill take one tomorrow.

That's not EXACTLY what I had in mind for the thermostat housing, but I could make it work quite easily. That has actually given me a few ideas.

I'd also be VERY interested in the valve cover(s) with the threaded fittings for a catch can type setup. If you engineered/sold an entire "kit" with or without a catch can I would be interested. Im tired of modifying everything to work on my car, haha.

Any idea when the single roller timing set might be ready? Not meaning to be a pest, but it'd be really nice for a motor build I'm doing this winter.
