Noob Question

I have an '89 s10 blazer with a 2.8L, can i swap the crank from a 3.1 or 3.4 into the 2.8 block? Also can anyone point me to a thread addressing common 2.8 problems? Thanks, Jason

A 3.1 crank will fit in the large journal 2.8 block but you will have to use the 3.1 pistons due to the longer stroke. The 2.8 pistons will hit the heads not doing so.
