motor&car help

i have a 88 Z24 that i am thinking of doing a drag racing car with if i can't sell by fall's end .
i have a 3400 swap done i would like to boost it up a little bit to make it more fun but not make myself broke .(as i have another car to do that LOL)
i had bought a msd ignition system and a nitrous kit for it and had pland a 4 spd auto swap.
but anyways i left it 5spd is anyone running nitrous with a stick ? and how is it ?
the intakes i have are a 99 style do the 00+ intakes flow much beter ?
i plan on geting some 3500 mani's to do a set of dual's
is there some other little tricks i can do to get a little bit more out of my combo ?

thanks guys

00 and up manifolds are the best. Why would you want to make it auto? Stick with the 5 speed.

iwas reading info on the 3400 intake manifolds and it is said that the 00+ are better then the 96-99 but all motors from all years rated the same ? is this just GM not changing there ratings or does this diffrent casting only make a diffrence if you compleatly port them ?

All 3400 manifolds are the same.
'00+ 3100 manifolds are the same as 3400 manifolds.
96-99 3100 manifolds are worse.
