factory duals or what?

and super 44s sound AWESOME on 60* motors(sound like LS1s). if i ever get a chambered muffler, that'll be it, until then i'll keep my glasspacks.

2 1/2(ID) might be a little big for a dead stock car... 2 1/2 OD would probably be fine though, just make sure its mandrel bent...

flowmaster mufflers have some of the worst flow ratings of any "performance" mufflers out there.

I tried several different ones, 40's, Delta 40's, 80 series etc.. i finally moved on to Hooker Aerochambers. Same chambered sound without the annoying drone and tons more flow.

2.25" or 2.5" is fine for a 3100, your best bet is to take off the downpipe, and start from the flange. almost all 3x00 engines have a restictor in the downpipe that reduces the size down to less than 2".

if you can find a set of "header" manifolds from a 3500v6, run 2" off of each one, merged into 2.5" with a good cat and a good muffler you'll have a very nice flowing system.

FYI, people have also used the steel headers from the older 3800's, modified the middle tube and welded on the proper flanges.. that's a really easy way to get budget headers. the 2 outer pipes line up almost perfectly.

Ok...can u get me a video of ur mufflers...I'm the kind of guy who loves flowmaster's sound...but I'm very openminded to this...also I plan on going turbo so the stock manifolds are staying for now...unless there are better manifolds available...also in here I have not found somebody that makes mandrel tubbing...can I find it online then have it done on a shop here? Also nobody wants to do my downpipe here...I live in Puerto Rico....what to do, what to do???

you can buy mandrel U bends from Summit for the exhaust, i've built 2 systems for my car and both came out good with their parts.

Mine might not be the best example of the aerochamber sound, i have true duals off of longtube headers with a pretty big cam, it is quite different sounding than a stock 3100 with manifolds.

Here is a stock 3400 swapped Sunbird 5 speed with an Aerochamber Crossflow (made for a Camaro). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dnbgj...eature=related

you might have to register to see them but there are quite a few sound clips of different mufflers here: http://www.v6z24.com/jbodyforum/offi...ad-t93988.html
