PM/Notification Issues
I had a pm waiting for me today. I like the way it shows you have one, but when I clicked unread personal messages, it didn't do anything. Instead I had to go to my CP > PMs to read it. I will pm both of you so you can see what I mean and you don't feel left out :P

You might need to change your settings. I get a popup whenever I come to the site and have a PM. Try sending another, as I just clicked on the popup and therefore the notification in the navbar went away. So I can't test out your issue.

Well when I clicked the area that normally says "Personal Messages" it brings up a box. Like I told Ben, it is like the Search box that opens when you click search. It would be a nice feature, but if it won't work, no big deal, but that portion I would suggest should be switched back to the old way. That way new users don't get the impression our site doesn't work like it is supposed to.

I see what you mean. I'll take a look in the code and try to figure out why its not working. And I can't really just go back to the old setup, becuase it was a change in the code of the whole software.

Hmm... Now this is really wierd. It didn't work when I posted the above message, but it worked just a couple of minutes ago. So that doesn't make any sense. Just as a test, but try clicking on it while in the forums area, instead of the homepage. It may not have anything to do with it, but its worth a shot...

Ok, shoot me a pm and I will try that next time. When I log on, the first thing I do is check to see if I have pm, so I do check it from the homepage.

Ok this just hit me as well. Notification thing says 1. I click it, it gives me a menu showing PM as 1. I click that. Nothing.

everything works for me. I have a new message, I click it, it takes me to the private message page and click on the new one.
I have noticed the main page is all goofed up if I am not logged in, so I deleted all my history/cookies/etc and now its all good.

I tried it from the Forum instead of the homepage like Brad said and it worked just fine. Odd, oh well :P

I'll have to look into it further, and ask some other users of the software if they are having similar issues.
