I'll try and scan some stuff out, it's all GM's bunk outta a 4T40-E GM tech manual. Basic operation, sensor descriptions and electronic range's, etc. tranny power flow, mechanica op. Flow charts if you REALLY want them (color too, hell-o-lot easier to read than B&W).

I have the same manuals for the 4T60E and I have only put a limited amount of that info on the site. Most of it is too much for the site. If someone is going to go that in depth with a tranny teardown/rebuild, they really should have the actual manual in front of them.

True, very true . . .
well, I'll scan out some of the basic stuff; power flow through the tranny & operation, basic part assembly diagrams, etc.

I'd like to request information about the ME9 440-T4. I haven't been able to find anything about it, aside from the gear ratios posted on the previous page. What kind of power can it stand? Can the guts from a 65HD be installed, since they share gear ratios?
Much later edit: nm, I'll just start a thread.

Are you talking about the 440-T4 (4T60), predicesor to the 4T60E? If so, then there really isn't anything that will interchange. There are significant differences between the 4T60 and 4T60E, let alone the differences between the 4T60E and 4T65E.

I know this thread is a little old, but I have a 97 service manual for a 4T60E and 4T65E if you'd like any info.
