i hope some of you still remember me, this site was such a big part of my life for a couple years. a year ago today i bought my cobalt ss/sc, saying goodby temporarily to the 660. i had a couple 86 cavaliers over the years, the first getting written off after 3 years of hard work, and the other, well, i lost the will to keep going with it after i was going to have to spend $5g to get it painted and then i lost compression in one cylender of my built motor. i parted the car out, however i did keep my motor, its in peices but just has one bad guide and valve. i do plan on building another cavalier and likley using this motor, however it may first have a stop in an mg midget a a friend and i are looking at. would be turbocharged hooked to a t-5, still unsure what rear end id be using.

here are a couple pics

and now

i love my cobalt, its a lot of fun, handles great and is extremly reliable. i have some stuff done to it, estimate around 260whp.

the cobalt is an absolute blast. ive got gm stage 2 (put it to 241whp), a 2nd heat exchanger, 2.85" blower pulley, urethane mounts, 1 3/4" primary mid length header, 2.5" exhaust (custom built), short throw shifter, lowered and just installed a meth injection kit. it corners as good as my first cavy did (that thing was on rails), rides great, and will slaughter most cars out there (stock-ish mustangs dont stand a chance). best thing, i get 36mpg mixed driving and got 42mpg on my last road trip.
