What are people paying for gas?

I just heard on the news this morning that a barrel of oil jumped ALMOST $10 overnight to right around $140 per barrel. Yeah, this is getting ridiculous. And then there was also something about the House of Reps suing OPEC. Yeah, that's going to help things out even more... Anyway, just wanted to take a poll and see what people are currently paying for gas.

I paid $3.89 the other night. Wisconsin's gas tax really sucks.

I saw on the news the other night that in Saudi Arabia, gas goes for around $0.85 per gallon.

Premium here is about $4.10 with regular $3.80. I guess the rumors of $200 a barrel may very well happen along with gas being over $5 a gallon. It's going to suck spending between $70 and $80 to fill up my Grand Am. Just 2 years ago it took less than $20.

My Trooper has a 22 gallon tank. It'll be $20 to fill my motorcycle...

$3.89 for regular on my last fill up on Monday. $61.50 to put 15.7 gallons in the Cherokee. Unfortunately I'll be already be filling up again tomorrow. Looking forward to getting the Alero back on the road to get decent mileage back. I think $140 is off. It's just above $132 a barrel (big difference at this point, right?). Prices at the pump here are escalating quickly. I expect $4 for regular by the end of next week at the rate we are going.

I looked at the news earlier as well and saw the $132. So I don't know where the newscaster came up with the $140 mark. I just remember sitting at the computer with the TV on in the background and hearing that barrel prices jumped over $9 overnight and were close to $140. This was at 6am this morning, well before the stock market opened. Maybe it was trading higher somewhere else??

That is just sickening... I put $50 in my Ranger! last night to the tune of $3.83/gallon for 87 octane (regular here). I don't even look at the price of Plus or Premium anymore 2 years ago I could have filled up the 92 AND the Ranger for $50. This is getting retarded and only getting worse! Prices like this make it where no one can enjoy their "Economy Stimulus" check. Basically it only makes it where people can afford gas for a short while longer...

There are places (Venezula IIRC) that is even cheaper than that - like in the 20 and 30 cent range. Its due to government subsidies and crap.

UPDATE: Well, I was right on the country, just wrong on the price... $0.12/gallon. Sucks to live in the Netherlands though!!!

EDIT: Well, that link is from 2005. Here is a more recent (2006) one...

http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lis...e.exclude.html

I'll see if I can't find a more recent listing somewhere.
