Lately I'd been toying with the idea of EBAY turbocharging my 1985 fiero. it's a stock 2.8 that's about to receive a 4 speed manual trans. my question is, would it be worth it to turbo a stock 2.8? what size turbo should I use if I do it? I'm gonna do it on the cheap if I even do it. also, would an '85 2.8 have a roller cam? what about an '87?

So, I have decided to keep my gm truck all (mostly) GM and have decided to ditch megasquirt for engine management and I will be using a gm computer.

I am wondering what my best bet for a computer will be though.
You guys are tuning masters and seem to know which ecm works best with each setup, which is why I ask for this advice.

The truck: '89 blazer 2.8/t-5

What will be in it though is a 3.4/3500 which will start off naturally aspirated, and recieve a turbo later in its life.

My computer is a macbook pro running snow leopard if it makes a difference with the tuning programs out there.

With the ecm, I wish to be able to run sfi, but as I know it, OBD-1 never ran SFI and doesnt have that capability.
And I dont wanna get into the big mess that comes into tuning OBD-2

As my truck is a manual, auto tranny control isnt necessary, so that leaves me with the question:
What ecm would be the best for my application, and what would be the best way for me to tune it?

hi I just finished my 3500 Swap (comming from a a 3100 to a 3400 then a 3450 to finally a 3500)
and man It hauls! from a dead stop its Quite impressive...But the top end is lacking.

I got the stock 3100 exhaust manifolds and downpipe, so I know thats what is holding me in the high(er) RPM. so my Question is:

how much Hp did you see from the Wot-tech header? Did anybody dinoed it?

Hi guys, I want to know what is the best milling heads for my Malibu 00 3100 engine? I saw on all sites that the maximum is .020 but I want to know if .040 is better? Anybody milling to .040?

Could someone please measure the bolt circle of either a crankshaft, flywheel or flexplate?

well, i searched for awhile, and should honestly know this answer as i have planned this before, but what is involved in the 3100-3400 intake swap, i remember it being mostly straight forward except i coolant line that i would need to get tapped iirc? anyone help?

The ECM is 1227170 stock 88 Fiero V6 computer with custom prom. I have read a few hints that you can add a knock sensor to this engine by running wires to ECM and buying the proper knock sensor and installing. Does anyone know how this is done and what to buy?

i am running a 3500/282 and i curently have one short axle and one long. i am cosidering running equal lenghth axles but was corious about a intermediate shaft. ive seen grand am guys have to make a "adapter between the block and shaft but is there any bolt on set ups i could use?

I've been looking at using the RK Sport 3.4 headers with my hybrid swap for a while now. Problem is that I can't find any installed pics of them anywhere. Does anyone on here have the 93-95.5 F-body RK Sport headers that is willing to shoot a couple pics? Doesn't have to by a hybrid or a non-4th gen car, either. I'm just curious as to what they look like in terms of side spacing when installed.
